3.5 has been released and is available for purchase or for upgrade*

3.5 Summary
EBT has released 3.5 version of Book-It2000. 3.5 includes all updates and modifications from 3.4 forward. Detailed explanation of changes and enhancements for 3.5 are outlined below. The majority of the changes and updates are "maintenance" based, and do not effect day-to-day processing. The 3.5 upgrade contains numerous database changes that are related to new the BKX (Book-It X) release (currently slated for release in June of 2009).

Unless your company is experiencing issues related to the fixes listed below, or are in need of the search enhancements - you may not need to install this release. When Book-ItX ( BKX ) is released, all of these changes will be incorporated into that upgrade.

Enhancement -or- Fix	Related Function or Module	Description of change or correction

FIX	Contracts Searching	Correct contract grid selection routine - to hold R/A (Agent) selection. Initial was, that after a specific's agent's initials were selected, the search routine would, in some cases, ignore the selection criteria.

FIX	ALL REPORTS	Correct insertion of agent's initials. In some cases, with two character (not three) initials, the spaces cause problems when producing reports. When reports were 'grouped' by agent's initials, and the initials were only two digits - in some cases the report would improperly perform a page break, even though the initials were the same (due to space at the end of the agent's initials). EBT has identified this a problem with a third party control. The vendor has been contacted, and we are awaiting a fix. As interim change, EBT has added editing to ensure that the spaces are fixed in the Begin-of-Day routine. Also and update to the Maintenance program has been added, that can be ran at anytime - to address this same issue.


FIX	Contracts Single Item Search Reports	Corrected report issue for Single Item search report selection. Previously, after doing a single item search on contracts, the report selection process did not list any reports. Reports, when accessed from the Single Item Search are now properly displayed.


FIX	Contracts Single Item Search Grid Display	When using the Single Item Search criteria to display engagements in the contract grid, the End Date field was not being displayed. This has been corrected.

ENH	Database Change Hold / Block Function	Block / Hold Tables - are being modified to support web-based updates from artists, purchasers and venues. Previously, this process had been retired. With the 'ramp-up' of BKX, artists, venues, purchasers - whomever you elect will be able to update your information on their outside bookings via the web. This enhancement updates the process for Web 2.0 processing

ENH	Contracts Currency Settings	Updated contracts to support selection of currency that can be set per contract. All contract print functions have been updated to support display of printing any currency type (i.e. Euros, US Dollars, Yen) - in correct format for that currency. The currency code is now carried on each contract, as input. The default currency code for the contracts is based upon your own country's settings.



UPGRADE REQUIREMENTS & CONSIDERATIONS.
If you are going to upgrade your site, there is a database update that has to be ran first. All clients at your site HAVE TO BE OUT OF BOOK-IT2000 in order to upgrade the databases. Without the upgrade of the databases, the system will generate numerous errors. * It will take approximately 15 minutes for the database update. (which has to be ran first, when all users are out Book-It2000). * Installation for the program update will take approximately 10 minutes> (you will need to restart your computer after this installation)

**Free Upgrades: If your company has an Entertainment Support & Upgrade Plan, this upgrade is free.** If your company does not have an support plan, then cost will be determined based upon your current version of Book-It2000. Please note that BKX (Book-It X) - will be a full release & upgrade. You can reduce your costs to this upgrade if you are already on the Support & Upgrade Plan. The EBTSup plan must be active at least 60 days in advance to receive any upgrade discounts.
