| There has always been a need
to take information from a central data base, take the information out
on the road, maintenance the information, and then return back. After
returning back, apply the changes that were made so that everyone has
the benefit of the updated information.
There are numerous file utilities available to help sync ‘files’, but none that will sync the data that is in the files. In other words, you can either replace the entire file, but not selected portions of the information in the file. The process is pretty simple. One site is designated as the host site. All other sites are remote sites. Information, but new, changed and deleted is transferred to the host site from the remote sites - based upon a schedule that you determine. |
Next, the host site processes all the changes, determines if there are any conflicts in the data that was changed - and then sends only the updated data (new, changed or deleted) - back to the remotes. |
| Therefore, every day - each of the remote sites are in-sync with the host. Also, used in conjunction with Entertainment Routing System - your private web site can be used to verify any data that has changed with in the day too! |
| Using the process outlined above - each office or remote
site can work independently every day.
